SK Telecom (017670) is rolling out a feature that uses artificial intelligence to automatically organize photos taken with smartphones or AI glasses and retrieve them when needed.
The carrier said on the 31st that it is offering A. Log, a feature in its A. application that analyzes, records and enables searches of photos taken with Meta's AI glasses and Android smartphones.
The feature automatically sorts photo contents into categories such as business cards, receipts, whiteboards, meeting materials, parking locations and posters. Users can search for photos by time or keyword, or view related records in list form based on automatically generated tags.
AI glasses users can link photos taken with the device to A. Log by turning on automatic syncing from the A. Log screen at the top left of the A. app. The service supports all Meta AI glasses models. Android smartphone users can take photos directly with the A. Log camera in the A. app or import images from their existing photo albums.
To protect personal information, photos containing sensitive data such as resident registration numbers are automatically masked before AI analysis. Photos are not stored on servers and remain only on the user's device.
SK Telecom plans to continue upgrading its AI services, including an integrated record feature linking A. Note and A. Log so users can review photos and memos together. Jang Sung-kook, head of AI service development at SK Telecom, said A. Log is a feature that extends the utility of new devices capable of quickly capturing moments, such as AI glasses, into an everyday record-keeping experience. He added that the company will keep upgrading the A. service so customers can more easily save and reuse information in various forms, including photos and memos.
