AhnLab said Tuesday that SecureBridge, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) security solution developed by its subsidiary AhnLab CloudMate, has been designated as an "Excellent Information Security Technology" for 2026 under a program overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
The "Excellent Information Security Technology Designation Program" is a government certification program that identifies promising technologies, products, and services held by companies in the information security field to verify their technological competitiveness and marketability, and to support commercialization and market expansion. Designated companies receive certification under the government's name, along with opportunities to enter the public market and connect with various support programs.
SecureBridge is a security solution that manages the risk of personal and sensitive information leaks that can occur during the use of generative AI.
The solution applies proprietary patented technologies, "AI-based in-context personal information determination" and "multi-filtering-based data protection technology." Through this, it enables intelligent security processing that comprehensively analyzes the overall context and risk level of data, moving beyond conventional detection methods centered on simple keywords or regular expressions.
AhnLab CloudMate plans to use this Excellent Information Security Technology designation as an opportunity to expand business opportunities in the public and private markets and strengthen its security service capabilities optimized for the generative AI environment.
In addition, the company plans to broaden SecureBridge's scope of application and drive its expansion into various industries by leveraging opportunities such as government support programs and projects linked to public institutions.
"This Excellent Information Security Technology designation is the result of official recognition that SecureBridge presents a new security paradigm required in the era of generative AI," said Kim Hyung-jun, CEO of AhnLab CloudMate. "Going forward, we will establish ourselves as a 'trust layer' responsible for reliability across AI and cloud-based environments, and continue to support our customers in building a secure AX (AI transformation) environment."
