
POHANG — Expansion team Breakers opened the third round of the Professional Billiards Association team league with a win, beating first-round champion Woori Financial Capital.
Breakers edged Woori Financial Capital 4-3 in a full-set match in the opening game of the Welcome Savings Bank PBA Team League 2026-2027 Pohang tour, held on the 10th at the gymnasium of Pohang Sports Complex in North Gyeongsang Province. Breakers had lost badly to Woori Financial Capital in the first two rounds, 1-4 and 0-4, and claimed their first win in three meetings between the sides.
Breakers led 3-1 in sets before dropping the fifth and sixth to fall level, then sealed the win in the seventh when team leader Lee Seung-jin beat Lee Sang-dae 11-6.
NH NongHyup Card, which holds the team league record for the longest winning streak at 14, overpowered second-round champion Huons 4-1 to end its run of 10 consecutive victories. NH NongHyup Card dropped the first set 8-11 but then took four sets in a row, powered by strong performances from Kim Min-ah in the second and fourth sets, halting Huons' bid for an 11th straight win.
Hana Card swept SY 4-0, and Harim beat Crown Haitai 4-1. High1 Resort defeated Welcome Savings Bank 4-2 behind two wins from Lee Mi-rae.
On the 11th, the second day of the tournament, play opens with NH NongHyup Card against Hana Card, followed by Huons against Crown Haitai, Woori Financial Capital against High1 Resort, Harim against Breakers, and SY against Welcome Savings Bank.
