Seoul's Jung-bu Police Station said on the 21st that it visited Namsanwon, a children's residential care facility in its jurisdiction, ahead of the Chuseok holiday to deliver tailored donations including snacks and household necessities.
The donations were funded by voluntary contributions from station employees for the holiday. The items focused on everyday essentials, including seasonal fruit such as grapes, apples and pears, along with laundry detergent and toilet paper for facility hygiene. Samyang Foods, a food manufacturer based in the district, also donated popular products including Buldak Bokkeum Myun spicy stir-fried noodles.
The handover ceremony, held at 10:30 a.m. in the Namsanwon auditorium, was attended by Jung-bu Police Station Chief Kim Kyung-woon, the heads of the station's crime prevention and response division and its women and juveniles division, as well as Namsanwon's director and secretary general. After the ceremony, the participants held a meeting to exchange views on improving living and childcare conditions at Namsanwon and on preventing juvenile crime.
"With Hangawi, the nation's biggest holiday, upon us, our employees joined in this donation to share their warm feelings," Kim said. "Jung-bu Police Station will continue to do its utmost so that children, who will lead the future, can grow up bright and healthy within a secure and safe fence."
