"Come enjoy Chuseok with the whole family at Daejeon O-World."
DAEJEON — Daejeon O-World said on the 18th that it will run a special event, "Moonlight Tiger Story," for four days from Sept. 24 to 27.
Built around the theme of a mystical "moonlight tiger," the program combines Korean folk tales with the sentiments of Chuseok, the autumn harvest holiday, in interactive content. Offerings include "The Moonlight Tiger's Riddle," in which visitors search out folk tale stories and complete missions, "Moonlight Chuseok Play Yard" featuring traditional folk games, and "Chuseok Photo Studio," where families can have their pictures taken.
A tiger character named Dalho, dressed in hanbok, will also greet visitors across the park with random games and mini gift giveaways, and children will take part directly in the "Moonlight Fairy Tale Lead Show."
Visitors who complete the folk tale missions will receive O-World character goods and photo printing vouchers on a first-come, first-served basis. Children who join the "Moonlight Fairy Tale Lead Show" will also receive a range of prizes.
Daejeon O-World will stay open at night on all four days of the holiday. From Sept. 24 to 26, a fireworks show will be held at 8:40 p.m. at Flower Land.
The park will also stage a variety of performances during the holiday, including the original musical "The Open Door," along with parades, magic shows, dance and busking.
"We hope visitors will enjoy a rich Chuseok with the many attractions O-World offers from day into night during the holiday," said Lee Kwan-jong, director of Daejeon O-World.
