DAEJEON — The Daejeon Metropolitan Government said on the 18th that it presented a letter of appointment to Jeon Yong-seok as the 11th chairman of the Daejeon Credit Guarantee Foundation.
Jeon graduated from Namdaejeon High School and studied public administration at Chungnam National University. He built his career in regional finance and management, serving as head of Nonghyup's Daejeon regional headquarters and as a standing director at the Korea Poultry Farmers Cooperative.
The city said it expects that experience to strengthen the foundation's role in providing financial support and credit guarantees to small business owners and small and midsize enterprises in the region.
"We will expand tailored financial support and credit guarantees to build a Daejeon Credit Guarantee Foundation that bolsters the local economy," Jeon said.
