DAEJEON — The Campus Innovation Park project team at Hannam University donated 5 million won to the school, which is marking its 70th anniversary this year.
Kwon Oh-young, head of the project team, presented the funds to Hannam University President Lee Seung-chul on the 7th, the university said on the 8th.
The project team supports the operation of a national industrial complex located on a university campus, the first such arrangement in South Korea. Through the Ministry of Education's industry-academia-research cluster program, it has secured about 8 billion won over five years starting in 2024 and runs a range of industry-academia cooperation programs, including customized corporate support, joint research and development, training for advanced industry talent and innovation networks for industrial growth.
"We support Hannam University's new leap forward and future development as it marks its 70th anniversary," Kwon said.
"We will keep the meaningful intent behind this donation close to heart and put it to good use in nurturing future talent and advancing the university," Lee said.
