GEUMSAN — South Chungcheong Province Governor Park Soo-hyun opened his tour of the province's cities and counties in Geumsan, meeting directly with residents there.
Park visited Geumsan on the 7th, his first stop among the province's cities and counties since the start of his elected term, and discussed development plans for the county with residents.
At the main performance hall of Geumsan Darakwon, Park held a dialogue session with about 600 residents, explaining how the administration had handled opinions gathered at town hall meetings held during his time as governor-elect and answering questions.
Park said the province would provide support to ensure that three priority tasks for Geumsan County move forward without delay: expanding basic income for farming and fishing communities, raising the value added of the ginseng industry and expanding it globally, and supporting the development of the Jeokbyeokgang riverside as a combined tourism project.
Park plans to continue the outreach campaign with visits to Taean on the 8th, Gongju on the 17th, Asan on the 22nd and Seocheon on the 29th.
