Kyowon Group's Red Pen said on the 6th that it has launched My Thinking Lab, a reading management program that helps children build reading habits and sharpen their thinking skills through home visits by instructors.
My Thinking Lab organizes its reading curriculum into 10 levels based on each child's reading ability and stage of development. Red Pen instructors visit once a week to guide children from habit formation through to improved reasoning skills. The program consists of My Thinking Book, which provides the 10-level reading curriculum; My Thinking Home, the weekly visit program run by Red Pen instructors; and My Thinking App, a personalized integrated application.
The home visits go beyond simply checking how much a child has read. They are designed to help children read consistently and expand their thinking based on what they have read. Red Pen instructors oversee the entire reading process and use CMSD reading and thinking workbooks, which cover sparking curiosity, finding meaning, connecting ideas and setting direction.
An official at Kyowon Group's Red Pen said, "My Thinking Lab is a service designed to connect book collections and activities suited to a child's reading level, and to link them to customized home visit management by Red Pen instructors." The official added, "Based on Red Pen's own content capabilities and home visit expertise, we will continue to upgrade the service so that children can build the strength to read and think consistently."
