DAEJEON — Korea Forest Service Vice Minister Lim Ha-soo visited a shiitake mushroom farm in Sangju, North Gyeongsang Province, on the 27th to inspect conditions facing forestry households.
"Record heat waves and extreme rainfall driven by climate change are raising concerns about damage to households that cultivate forest products," Lim said. "A sharp rise in temperatures inside growing facilities during midday can lead directly to lower yields and poorer quality, so please prepare thoroughly in advance."
