KEPCO Nuclear Fuel said it has established an "AI Strategy Committee" to systematically pursue artificial intelligence (AI)-based work innovation, holding a launch ceremony Monday.
The committee will set the direction for company-wide AI strategy by preemptively responding to a rapidly changing digital environment, including the spread of generative AI and the expanding use of AI in the public sector.
In particular, the CEO will personally serve as committee chairman, bringing together the capabilities of internal and external experts to drive AI innovation at speed.
The first committee meeting held broad discussions on company-wide AI issues, ranging from AI strategy formulation to management of implementation tasks, the spread of AI capabilities to field operations, responses to security and ethics risks, and future directions. The committee decided to select priority tasks for AI utilization and to further specify implementation directions.
"Through the operation of the committee, we will fundamentally change the way we work and our competitiveness, and further strengthen our digital innovation capabilities," said Jung Chang-jin, president of KEPCO Nuclear Fuel.
