Park Eun-sik, head of the Korea Forest Service, inspected the landslide prevention and response readiness of affiliated organizations during the monsoon season at the Daejeon Government Complex on Sunday.
"When signs of danger are detected, please respond aggressively, even to the point that it may seem excessive, by canceling reservations at forest facilities used by many people such as national recreation forests and by restricting access to national forest trails," Park said. "If local governments request support for resident evacuations, provide active assistance."
