President Lee Jae-myung said on the 18th that he would re-examine the government's personnel appointment system, addressing the controversy over his second-round cabinet reshuffle. "We make our own efforts through our own system, but it is always insufficient," Lee said at a special press conference. "Even when we do our best, additional problems are sometimes found, and judgments different from ours are sometimes raised." He added: "It is our fault and our shortcoming that we did not prepare for or anticipate even those points. We intend to re-examine the personnel appointment system."
