President Lee Jae-myung held a summit on the 14th at the Blue House with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on a state visit to South Korea for the Korea-Central Asia summit.
At the meeting, Lee said the two countries have built a very solid partnership since establishing diplomatic ties in 1992. "As our only special strategic partner in Central Asia, Uzbekistan is an invaluable friend and a key partner of the Republic of Korea," Lee said.
"I hope that, on the foundation of the deep friendship and trust built between our two countries, we can leap forward together toward shared prosperity and peace," he added.
