President Lee Jae-myung, who is visiting San Francisco, declared through the "San Francisco AI Declaration" announced on the 24th that "the Republic of Korea will leap forward as an irreplaceable core nation in the global AI supply chain." He said, "Based on the world's top-tier memory semiconductor competitiveness and production capacity, we will become a trusted AI chip production base and supply chain partner."
The event was attended by Samsung Electronics Chairman Jay Y. Lee, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Euisun Chung, and Naver Chairman Lee Hae-jin. Global big tech companies were also represented, with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, and Broadcom CEO Hock Tan in attendance.
