Media artist Kim Ah-young presents on the theme "Art in the Age of Machine Vision" at the "July Chunchugwan Special Lecture" held at Cheong Wa Dae on Sunday.
The lecture was organized as an occasion to take an in-depth look at Kim's original body of work, which has explored the boundaries between technology and humanity, and between labor and myth, through cutting-edge technologies such as video, game engine animation, generative artificial intelligence (AI), and extended reality (XR).

Kim Ah-young is one of Korea's leading media artists, using cutting-edge technologies such as video, game engines, generative AI, and XR to explore labor and future cities. She made her name at major museums around the world, including MoMA PS1 in New York and Tate Modern in London, with her signature "Delivery Dancer" series.
In particular, she has won the Prix Ars Electronica Golden Nica (2023) as the first Korean to do so, followed by the LG Guggenheim Award (2025) and the CHANEL Next Prize (2026), earning recognition for her unrivaled artistry on the world stage.
