Twosome Place is expanding its partnership with Samyang Foods' Buldak brand into bakery products after strong sales of their deli collaboration items.
The coffee chain said on the 9th that it is launching a new product called Pizza Bread. The item is a focaccia filled with pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni, with Buldak sauce provided in a separate stick so customers can adjust the spiciness to their preference.
Twosome Place first teamed up with Samyang Foods in January for a limited run of the Buldak Cheese Melt Panini, followed last month by the Buldak Corn Cheese Panini and the Buldak Chicken Baguette Sandwich.
The popularity of the Buldak collaboration items has lifted deli sales. From January through August, Twosome Place's deli revenue rose 21% from a year earlier. The Buldak Corn Cheese Panini drew a particularly strong response, pushing panini category sales up 71% last month from the same month a year earlier.
"Our earlier collaborations confirmed customer demand for Buldak menu items," a Twosome Place official said. "This time we combined Buldak with a bakery item that customers can enjoy as part of their daily routine."
