Coupang Fulfillment Services (CFS) said on the 9th that it has launched a joint public-private campaign with the Yeoju City Public Health Center to help logistics workers manage their health and prevent heat-related illness.
The campaign was held a day earlier at the company's Yeoju No. 1 and No. 2 centers. CFS has run the program twice a year since first holding it in 2024.
Public health center staff visited the two centers to offer tailored health promotion services for on-site workers, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks and one-on-one health consultations. They also briefed workers on five key rules for preventing heat-related illness and nine daily habits for preventing and managing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.
CFS Chief Executive Jung Jong-chul also visited the two centers that day, inspecting whether heat illness prevention rules were being followed on the floor and reviewing the condition of rest facilities and other safety and health measures for the hottest part of the summer, while encouraging employees.
"We regard the health and safety of on-site workers as the top priority in management, and we will actively cooperate with public agencies and others to establish a culture of safety at logistics sites," a CFS official said.
