Shinhan Securities has opened a combined private wealth management (PWM) branch that brings together the wealth management operations of Shinhan Bank and its brokerage arm in one location.
The company said on the 7th that it had opened the Shinhan Premier PWM Central Yongsan Center as an integrated office. The center merges the former Shinhan Premier PWM Seogyo Center and the Shinhan Premier Central Financial Center. It adds a Shinhan Securities wealth management branch to PWM, the group's existing bank-brokerage wealth management brand, creating a combined channel.
Clients can access Shinhan Bank's banking services, Shinhan Securities' capital markets-focused wealth management and domestic and overseas stock brokerage in one place, without moving between branches. The center also plans to offer specialized consulting on real estate, taxes and inheritance and gift planning. When needed, clients can be connected with specialists in each field through Shinhan Premier Pathfinder, Shinhan Financial Group's team of wealth management experts.
The center is located in the sky lounge of Yongsan Central Park Tower, with views of the Han River and the surrounding Yongsan area. Shinhan Premier Hall features a large light-emitting diode (LED) screen displaying domestic and overseas stock markets and key economic indicators. The center also houses Shinhan Premier Yongsan Gallery, the first permanent gallery operated by Shinhan Securities, and Shinhan Premier Private Room, a separate dining space.
The gallery will hold regular exhibitions of work by Korean and international artists and run docent programs for clients. Its opening exhibition, "Above Seoul," features works by Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Donna Huanca.
"We have built a new '1+1+1' channel model in response to a financial environment shifting toward capital markets," said Jung Yong-wook, president in charge of Shinhan Premier at Shinhan Securities. "We plan to continue expanding channels that combine the capabilities of the bank and the brokerage, tailored to each region and client base."
