Bodyfriend said on the 7th that it won innovation awards at IFA 2026, Europe's largest consumer electronics show held in Berlin, for an artificial intelligence healthcare robot and a home medical massage sofa. The company's 733 AI Pro was selected in the IFA Next and Emerging Tech category, while the Medical Vivaldi was chosen in the Beauty Tech and Wellbeing category.
The 733 AI Pro is a healthcare robot that combines robotics with contactless biosignal measurement and generative AI. Using remote photoplethysmography, or rPPG, it detects subtle changes in skin color and analyzes health indicators including heart rate patterns, fatigue, stress, recovery capacity and blood pressure changes. It generates and runs personalized massage programs in real time based on the user's spoken requests. Bodyfriend's generative AI massage technology previously received an "AI+" certification from the Korean Standards Association.
The Medical Vivaldi is a home medical massage sofa equipped with a perineal care function. Pulsed electromagnetic field, or PEMF, technology built into the seat is designed to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles and related neuromuscular tissue non-invasively, even when the user is fully clothed. It pairs conventional massage functions with a sofa-style design for everyday use. Bodyfriend plans to launch the Medical Vivaldi as a medical device in South Korea this year after obtaining certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
"This award shows that Bodyfriend's research and development results — including robotics, AI and medical technology such as biosignal analysis — have been recognized on the European stage," a company official said. "Building on our top market share in the domestic massage chair market, we will converge AI, robotics and medical technology to expand the field of AI healthcare robots globally."
