POSCO E&C is bringing its residential brand The Sharp to Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, for the first time.
The builder said on the 3rd that it will open the model house for The Sharp Yeoju Station The First on the 4th and begin sales. Special supply applications open on the 14th, followed by first-priority applications on the 15th and second-priority applications on the 16th.
The complex will be built in the Hongmun District 2 urban development zone at 332-2 Hongmun-dong in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. It will comprise 696 units across seven buildings, ranging from two basement levels to a maximum of 29 floors above ground. All units will be supplied in a single layout of 84 square meters of exclusive floor area, a size favored by owner-occupier buyers.
Residents will have access to Yeoju Station on the Gyeonggang Line, and wider transit expansion is under way, including the planned Yeoju-Wonju double-track railway, the planned Suseo-Gwangju Line and the proposed GTX-D. Located in southern Yeoju, an area emerging as a new residential axis through urban development projects, the complex draws on both the infrastructure of the old downtown and the amenities of the new station district. E-Mart, Hanaro Mart, Yeoju Premium Outlets, Yeoju Sports Complex and Yeoju Intercity Bus Terminal are also nearby.
All units are oriented mainly to the south to secure sunlight and an open feel. Depending on the layout, units include an alpha room, pantry and care room, while every unit has an entrance storage space and a walk-in closet to improve storage efficiency. Balcony extensions use durable tempered glass railings to reduce obstruction of views and create a more upscale exterior.
The complex will include community facilities spanning about 3,900 square meters. They will feature a golf driving range, screen golf, a fitness center, a group exercise room, a sauna, a book cafe, a kids' room and an edu lounge with private study rooms. Smart security systems will also be installed, including 13-inch smart wall pads, smart fingerprint door locks and facial-recognition video door phones.
"As this is the first The Sharp brand apartment in Yeoju, we are receiving inquiries about our differentiated products along with expectations for the brand," a POSCO E&C sales official said. "Since we have added The Sharp's own product quality to a location that offers access to both the old and new downtown areas, including Yeoju Station, we will do our best to present this as a residential complex that represents Yeoju."
Based on the 3rd, the date of the public notice for recruiting residents, anyone aged 19 or older living in the Seoul metropolitan area — including Yeoju as well as Seoul, Gyeonggi Province and Incheon — can apply. Homeowners and household members can also apply in the first-priority round if they have held a housing savings account for at least 12 months and meet deposit requirements that vary by region and unit size.
To mark the model house opening, visitors will receive welcome desserts and first-come-first-served gifts over three days, with prize drawings and promotions for customers who verify their applications. The model house is located in Gyo-dong, Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province.
