
Kia (000270) has wrapped up its 2026 wage and collective bargaining negotiations.
The automaker said on the 28th that union members approved the tentative agreement reached on the 25th, with 64.1% backing the wage deal and 63.1% the collective bargaining agreement, based on the number of members who voted. A signing ceremony is scheduled for the 31st.
Management and the union held their first meeting on June 4 and reached the tentative agreement on August 25 after 12 rounds of formal negotiations.
The agreement includes a 100,000 won increase in monthly base pay, a performance bonus of 300% of monthly wages plus 4 million won, a quality improvement incentive of 100% plus 4.7 million won, a 4 million won bonus marking the company's 2026 Autocar Awards recognition, 47 treasury shares as a bonus for settling the 2026 collective bargaining talks, and 500,000 special points for meeting record production and sales targets.
