Skies will be mostly cloudy nationwide with scattered rain on Monday, the 28th, the first workday after the Chuseok holiday. Wide temperature swings of about 15 degrees Celsius between day and night will persist for the time being.
Rain will fall in parts of Incheon and the Gyeonggi west coast in the predawn hours. Expected rainfall for the 27th and 28th combined is around 5 millimeters for the five islands in the West Sea and less than 5 millimeters along the Incheon and Gyeonggi west coast. Elsewhere in the greater Seoul area, inland and mountainous parts of Gangwon State, northern Chungcheong and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, less than 0.1 millimeter of rain will fall between the predawn hours and morning.
Daily temperature ranges will widen to 10 to 15 degrees Celsius for the time being. Morning lows are forecast at 14 to 20 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 25 to 29 degrees Celsius.
Expected morning lows in major cities are 18 degrees Celsius in Seoul, 18 in Incheon, 15 in Chuncheon, 18 in Gangneung, 17 in Daejeon, 19 in Daegu, 18 in Jeonju, 18 in Gwangju, 20 in Busan and 22 in Jeju.
Daytime highs are forecast at 26 degrees Celsius in Seoul, 25 in Incheon, 26 in Chuncheon, 27 in Gangneung, 26 in Daejeon, 28 in Daegu, 26 in Jeonju, 27 in Gwangju, 28 in Busan and 27 in Jeju.
Waves will run 0.5 to 1.5 meters in coastal waters of the East Sea and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in coastal waters of the West Sea and South Sea. In inner offshore waters, defined as waters within about 200 kilometers of the coastline, waves are expected at 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, West Sea and South Sea.
