"Seneca, to You Who Are Losing Today" held the top spot on Kyobo Book Centre's overall bestseller list for the third week of September, followed by "Institute for the Study of Anomalies in Korean History."
Jo Jung-rae's "Frost Flower" climbed seven places to No. 12. Fiction typically draws more female readers, but men accounted for 50.9% of purchases of this title, slightly more than women. Reflecting the author's long career and loyal following among middle-aged and older readers, buyers in their 50s made up the largest share at 36.2%, while those aged 60 and over accounted for 29.7%.
A collaboration between publisher Minumsa and a convenience store chain on "Minumsa bread" has drawn a strong response, lifting sales of the publisher's world literature series. Hermann Hesse's "Demian" rose seven places to No. 13, and Francoise Sagan's "Do You Like Brahms?" came in at No. 19.
