Daewon Pharmaceutical (003220) is expanding its health supplement lineup with Magnesium King, a liquid product from its Daewon Health brand designed to make magnesium intake easier.
Daewon Health said on the 18th that it had launched Magnesium King, a health functional food that can help support energy metabolism and muscle health in daily life.
Magnesium is an essential mineral involved in about 300 enzyme reactions in the human body, but because the body does not produce it naturally, it must be taken in steadily through food and other sources. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recognizes magnesium as "necessary for energy use" and "necessary for maintaining nerve and muscle function."
Magnesium King uses magnesium lactate, an organic salt, as its main ingredient. Magnesium lactate dissolves easily in water, making it suitable for liquid formulations and allowing consumers who find tablets or capsules difficult to swallow to supplement magnesium easily. The product went through rigorous quality checks at every stage from ingredient selection to production, drawing on Daewon Pharmaceutical's healthcare manufacturing and quality control expertise. The company reduced the chalky aftertaste and gave the drink a smooth finish to encourage regular use.
The company also improved convenience. Packaged in liquid ampoules, the product can be taken without water, unlike tablets or capsules, and a single bottle a day delivers five functional nutrients, including three B vitamins from Europe's DSM, magnesium and zinc.
"Magnesium King puts magnesium lactate, which the body absorbs at a high rate, into a liquid formulation so that people can easily supplement their nutrition even during busy days," an official at Daewon Pharmaceutical said. "We will continue to expand our product lineup with items that can offer real help in managing consumers' health, based on scientific evidence and ease of use."
Magnesium King will become available in stages through major online and offline distribution channels, including the official Daewon Health online store.
