KT (030200.KS) said it held an "AID-X Demo Day" at its KT Pangyo office in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on the 24th, with the participation of its information technology (IT) division and IT specialist group affiliate KT DS.
The event was arranged to share the results of KT's AID-X implementation and to highlight changes in work culture. AID-X is an expansion of the existing framework (AIDD) that applies artificial intelligence (AI) across the entire software development process. It is a work innovation framework that integrates AI into all areas of IT operations, including planning, design, quality management, and operations.
KT unveiled various real-world cases in which AI independently performs developers' repetitive analysis and development tasks and automates data linkage and modeling, significantly boosting productivity and quality. At the event, a humanoid that understood human natural-language commands recognized its surrounding environment and demonstrated the process of picking up and moving objects. A platform in which AI tests apps from an actual customer perspective across various devices, applications, and operating system (OS) environments was also unveiled.
KT plans to enhance the effectiveness of AI use based on success cases and trial-and-error verified on the ground, and to accelerate the AX transition across IT development and operations. Ok Kyung-hwa, KT IT Division Head (CIO) and Executive Vice President, said, "AI is not a technology that replaces people but a collaboration partner that expands people's capabilities," adding, "Going forward, KT will continue to innovate the way we work based on AX across every stage of the work process."
