
Naver (035420.KS) and Naver Cloud are exporting their smart building operation technology solution for the first time to "Tokyo Midtown Yaesu," a large-scale mixed-use building connected to Tokyo Station.
Team Naver said on the 23rd that it will supply the smart building operation technology solution to the "Tokyo Midtown Yaesu Building" together with Japan's NTT East and Mitsui Fudosan.
Completed in 2022, the Midtown Yaesu Building is a mixed-use building with 45 floors above ground and a total floor area of 300,000 square meters, and is considered one of Tokyo's representative real estate redevelopment cases.
Team Naver provides integrated technology infrastructure, including the autonomous driving robots, cloud robot control system, and digital twin used at 1784, its second headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province. Mitsui Fudosan will provide robot delivery services at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu and manage overall facility integration, while NTT East will handle the construction of the digital twin environment and the maintenance and operation of the delivery robots. The three companies plan to first launch a cloud-based autonomous driving robot delivery service.
This case marks the first commercialization in which Team Naver has introduced its smart building model externally for the first time. It is assessed as significant particularly because the technology was optimized to provide smooth robot services even in ordinary buildings that lack smart facilities such as robot-only elevators.
Team Naver has provided various robot delivery services at 1784, accumulating robot sensor data, spatial data, and service execution data. In particular, it has continuously advanced robots' mobility and service execution capabilities by utilizing operational data from actual physical environments, such as optimal routes by time period and recurring exceptional situations.

Team Naver's tech convergence technology has also been extensively deployed in the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu Building. Representative examples include the indoor autonomous driving robot "Rookie," the multi-robot control system ARC brain, the digital twin, and the vision-based positioning technology "ARC eye."
Among these, ARC brain is an orchestration platform that integrates the control of the movements and roles of multiple robots, functioning as an essential element for efficient service operation in large-scale spaces such as Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. Through cloud processing, it links not only robots but also building facilities such as speed gates and elevators, helping robots operate seamlessly while interacting with users in everyday spaces.
Team Naver, Mitsui Fudosan, and NTT East plan to expand the scope of their cooperation into various physical AI fields. They will expand the scale of the robot delivery service and seek cooperation in indoor augmented reality (AR) navigation and digital twin-based building management.
The project was led by Naver Cloud's Japan business development department and was pursued using Naver Labs' robotics and vision technology. Team Naver plans to apply the 1784 model to various sites at home and abroad in the future.
