ESTsoft (047560), an artificial intelligence (AI) services company, said Friday that its AX (AI transformation) business is growing rapidly and that cumulative orders this year are expected to surpass 10 billion won.
ESTsoft's AX business officially launched last year and recorded 1.1 billion won in revenue in the second half. In the first half of this year, it secured 6.3 billion won in orders, roughly a sixfold increase from a year earlier.
The company expects this growth to continue in the second half. With orders on the scale seen in the first half also anticipated in the second half, ESTsoft projects that total AX business orders will surpass 10 billion won this year.
The core competitiveness of ESTsoft's AX business lies in its "integrated AI solution." Alongside large-scale system development projects, the company has organically combined its in-house developed products—the AI agent "Alan," the real-time conversational service "Perso Interactive," the video production tool "Perso Studio," and "Perso Dubbing"—to provide differentiated services tailored to the public sector, which proved effective.
The main growth drivers are AX projects for public institutions and universities, which accounted for 70% of first-half performance; "K-FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV)," a national project overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT); and AI avatar-based video content production.
Among these, the largest share came from AX projects, including large-scale system development. ESTsoft's competitiveness in AI consulting and information strategy has aligned with AX demand from public institutions, universities, and companies, and the company has secured a strong project pipeline of about 30 projects.
Recently, in the public AX area, ESTsoft won agriculture and disaster safety projects in the AX Sprint business, a whole-of-government project jointly pursued by related ministries including the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF), the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
"The AX know-how we have accumulated centered on AI national projects, public institutions, local governments, universities, and companies is earning trust in the market and leading to tangible results," said Jang Seung-il, head of ESTsoft's AX Business Division. "As the positive momentum from the first half is certain to continue into the second half, we expect to achieve more than 10 billion won in annual orders this year."
