Naver's streaming platform Chzzk will exclusively livestream all 25 events of the global esports tournament "Esports World Cup 2026 (EWC 2026)."
Naver Chzzk said Wednesday that it will exclusively livestream all events of EWC 2026, held in Paris, France, from the 6th through August 23. EWC 2026 is the world's largest esports event, featuring major global esports titles and top-tier professional teams. The total prize pool exceeds $75 million (about 110 billion won).
After broadcasting 15 events at last year's EWC, Chzzk is expanding its coverage to all 25 events this year. For this year's tournament, it will first produce Korean-language broadcasts for nine events popular among domestic fans, including League of Legends, Valorant, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Overwatch.
For the other six events, Korean-language broadcasts will be provided only for the finals, while games offered in English broadcasts will feature AI subtitles to create an immersive viewing environment. The AI subtitle function is characterized by quickly reflecting the game situation and context in real-time low-latency live streams and translating naturally.
Chzzk will also expand AI-based convenience features to enhance viewing convenience. The platform plans to apply its AI clip function to major Korean-language broadcast events, allowing viewers to enjoy highlights of decisive moments more quickly. In addition, an AI chapter function will be applied to all Korean-language broadcast events, making it easier for viewers to find their desired game flow and key scenes.
Chzzk will also offer content available only on its platform. Chzzk's popular streamers plan to visit Paris in person to present various content capturing the atmosphere at the tournament venue and the lively reactions of players and fans. Chzzk's original content, the League of Legends analysis podcast "Sseul.Keun.Ji" (Uselessly Big Rift Knowledge), will also return as an EWC special edition.
"Chzzk will provide a viewing environment where fans can enjoy familiar events more deeply and new events more easily, by combining full-event coverage, AI-based convenience features, and watch-together content," said Shin Seul-gi, Naver's game content partnership leader. "Going forward, we will continue to expand Chzzk's differentiated viewing culture based on popular IP, the streamer ecosystem, and Naver's technological capabilities."
