
Krafton (259960.KS) Chief Executive Officer Kim Chang-han met with AWS CEO Matt Garman and other key Amazon Web Services executives in Seattle on Tuesday.
The two companies shared Krafton's artificial intelligence (AI) vision and held in-depth discussions on cooperation in technology development using cloud and AI infrastructure.
In particular, the two companies agreed at the meeting on ways to expand AI and simulation capabilities beyond virtual space into the real world, along with the humanoid robotics field.
Building on this top-executive meeting, the two companies plan to strengthen their global technology partnership and broadly expand points of joint cooperation in the AI field going forward.
Krafton has previously held a series of meetings with leaders of global big tech companies, including Nvidia and OpenAI, building a foundation for cooperation to expand its AI ecosystem.
"At this meeting, we exchanged views on the possibility of cooperation centered on Krafton's AI research and development and AWS's cloud and AI infrastructure capabilities," a Krafton official said. "We plan to continue related discussions going forward."
