Padraig Harrington of Ireland drew attention after his tournament victory by recreating the trophy ceremony scene of Bobby Jones, known as the "saint of golf," from 100 years ago.
Harrington won the US Senior Open, which concluded Saturday at Scioto Country Club (par 70) in Columbus, Ohio. It marked his third US Senior Open title, tying the record for most wins. He also became the fourth player in the tournament's history to successfully defend his title.
According to a report by Golfweek on Sunday, Harrington and the United States Golf Association (USGA), which hosted the tournament, recreated the scene of Jones' 1926 US Open trophy ceremony and took a photo.
In the photo, tournament officials surround Harrington as he smiles while receiving the trophy. The person behind Harrington has one hand on his shoulder. The recreation was made to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Jones' US Open victory. That tournament was also held at Scioto Country Club. Jones also won The Open Championship that year, becoming the first player to win both the US Open and The Open in a single year.

Scioto Country Club, designed by renowned architect Donald Ross, opened in 1916. One of its co-founders was Samuel P. Bush, the paternal grandfather of former US President George H.W. Bush. Scioto Country Club is also one of five courses to have hosted the US Open, PGA Championship, Ryder Cup, and US Amateur.
