The LG Twins have set a KBO League record for the fewest home games needed to draw 1 million fans.
The LG Twins said 23,750 fans attended their home game against the Hanwha Eagles at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on Saturday, marking the team's 35th sellout of the season. With this, LG surpassed 1 million cumulative fans in its 43rd home game of the 2026 season. Since professional baseball attendance records were computerized in 2001, LG is the first team to reach 1 million home fans in 43 games.
This is the fewest home games any team has needed to draw 1 million fans since attendance records were computerized in 2001. The previous record was 45 games, set by the Samsung Lions on July 5, 2025, and by the Lotte Giants on August 5, 2012.
LG's cumulative home attendance this season stands at 1,008,068 as of Saturday. The team is averaging 23,443 fans per game. Last year, LG drew a total of 1,542,458 fans at home, and at the current pace, the team is likely to surpass that record this year.
To mark the milestone of reaching 1 million home fans in the fewest games, LG will hold a special event at Sunday's Hanwha game at Jamsil Stadium. Before the game, entry tickets will be distributed at the first-base infield and outfield entrances of Jamsil Stadium, and after the bottom of the sixth inning, one fan will be selected through a drawing to win an "LG StanbyME 2 MAX."
