NH Investment & Securities (005940.KS) presented a special commemorative trophy to Park Min-ji, who achieved her 20th career victory on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on Tuesday, the company said Wednesday.
NH Investment & Securities President and CEO Yoon Byung-woon attended the ceremony in person to present the trophy and offer words of encouragement to Park. The company has served as Park's main sponsor without interruption since her debut in 2017.
The trophy, specially produced for the ceremony, embodies a unique design philosophy that fuses the company's history with the player's achievements into one. It features the "N2" logo, NH Investment & Securities' new emblem and brand mark, on the front. Reflecting the history of NH Investment & Securities, founded in 1969, the N2 logo structure was designed to rise while twisting at a 69-degree angle from the bottom to the top. According to the company, this conveys the sponsor's message of support and hope, wishing that Park's winning momentum will continue to rise without stopping.
The trophy is also a "sustainable build-up" structure that does not remain in past records but remains open toward the future. It was designed in the shape of a structure that gradually builds up from one victory toward 20 victories. The trophy is designed so that the name of each winning tournament can be additionally combined at the top whenever Park sets new records beyond 20 wins, such as her 21st and 22nd victories.
"The indomitable fighting spirit and ceaseless effort Park has shown on the field have been a source of great inspiration and pride for NH Investment & Securities employees and golf fans," CEO Yoon said. "Because this is a 10-year bond formed through human trust beyond mere results, this 20th victory is all the more proud and precious." Park said, "After my 19th win, I went through a slump of nearly two years and was so mentally exhausted that I even considered quitting golf." She continued, "Without NH Investment & Securities, which quietly served as my pillar of support by believing in 'Park Min-ji the person' rather than my scorecard even when the whole world doubted me, the miracle of 20 victories would have been impossible." Park also said, "I will surely achieve a new record of 21 wins, the sole most victories in the KLPGA, and continue to stack new N2 marks on top of this trophy."
