
DAEJEON — The Daejeon Metropolitan Government appointed Ahn Joong-ki, a former Daejeon city council member, as chief political adviser effective on the 16th, a post that oversees political functions including coordination with the central government, the National Assembly and the media. The position is classified as a fixed-term specialist post equivalent to Grade 2.
Ahn served as a member of the fourth Daejeon Metropolitan Council and as an aide to National Assembly member Park Yong-gap.
"Drawing on my experience in council activities and as a legislative aide, I will work to communicate smoothly with the central government, the National Assembly and the media so that Daejeon's key priorities move forward without setbacks," Ahn said.
