SNT Energy Completes HRSG Supply for 290-Megawatt LNG Plant

CHANGWON — A 290-megawatt liquefied natural gas district energy plant equipped with heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) supplied by SNT Energy is set to begin operations in Daesan, Seosan, in South Chungcheong Province.

SNT Energy said on the 14th that it attended the completion ceremony for HD Hyundai E&F's Daesan LNG district energy project, held at HD Hyundai Oilbank's Daesan plant. The project was pursued as a district energy business to provide a stable supply of electricity and steam to industrial facilities in the Daesan area of Seosan. The plant has a generation capacity of about 290 megawatts.

SNT Energy won the HRSG supply contract from Hyundai Engineering. The company said it carried out delivery and performance testing as planned.

An HRSG is a power generation facility that recovers high-temperature exhaust gas from gas turbines to produce steam. It improves energy efficiency and supplies steam needed by power plants and industrial facilities.

SNT Energy said the project reaffirmed its technological capabilities and execution track record in HRSG systems linked to mid-sized gas turbines, further strengthening its competitiveness in the power and energy plant market.
