
A middle school student in Jeju has been booked by police for posting a message on a KakaoTalk open chat room threatening to kill an elementary school student.
The Jeju West Police Station said on the 2nd that it had booked and was questioning the student, identified only as A, on charges of making a public threat.
A is accused of posting a message on a KakaoTalk open chat room on the 24th of last month saying he would kill a first-grader at an elementary school in a district of Seoul.
The student did not name a specific school or student, according to police.
Police are questioning A on how the post came to be written and whether there was any actual intent to carry out the threat.
