Daegu Health College said Friday that it participated in "MEDeXPO Korea," held at EXCO in Daegu, operating a Handalbit Glocal Health Alliance University promotion booth to showcase major achievements including digital healthcare technologies.
The event, an integrated healthcare exhibition hosted by the Daegu city government, ran for three days starting last Wednesday.
At the booth, the college highlighted the joint education system of the alliance university comprising Daegu Health College, Gwangju Health University, and Daejeon Health Institute of Technology, as well as its industrial cluster on-site campus.
The industrial cluster on-site campus is an industry-academia cooperation hub that links the university's education and demonstration functions to industrial sites where companies are concentrated. The college provides technical support and training for industry workers targeting digital healthcare companies, its specialized field.
The college also introduced corporate support programs run by its Life Care Industry Technology Institute, including customized troubleshooting technology guidance, prototype production support, joint industry-academia technology development, and usability evaluation.
Six companies, including Humanic, presented their outstanding technologies and products and promoted their industry-academia cooperation achievements.
Kim Ji-in, vice president for external affairs and a professor in the nursing department, said, "We will build a sustainable industry-academia cooperation ecosystem by connecting the university's specialized digital healthcare capabilities with local industries."
