The Gyeonggi Province Municipal Comprehensive Evaluation is a system that comprehensively assesses the implementation performance of major national and provincial policy initiatives across the province's 31 cities and counties, using both quantitative and qualitative indicators.
In this evaluation, the city received an S-grade in 109 of 110 quantitative indicators, recording an achievement rate of 99.1%. Its systematic management of key administrative indicators based on interdepartmental cooperation was highly rated.
In the qualitative indicators category, policies such as expanding cultural accessibility, improving and utilizing outdoor advertising, and promoting inter-local government cooperation were selected as best practices. The city's efforts to identify policies that residents can feel directly and to pursue active governance reflecting regional characteristics led to a favorable assessment.
The city plans to use the 100 million won in award project funding for projects aimed at enhancing resident convenience and improving administrative services.
"This achievement is the result of the efforts of all employees working together," a Yangju city official said. "We will continue to do our best to expand administrative services that residents can feel and to enhance the competitiveness of municipal governance."
