Roborock said on the 29th that it ranked first in global robot vacuum shipments in the second quarter of this year.
Roborock led the global robot vacuum market in both shipments and sales revenue in the first half of the year, according to market research firm IDC. Its second-quarter market share by shipments reached 23.7%, up 2.9 percentage points from 20.8% a year earlier.
The global robot vacuum market also continued to expand. Global shipments of household cleaning robots totaled about 11.205 million units in the second quarter of 2026, up 21.5% from a year earlier, IDC said. Of that total, robot vacuum shipments came to 7.885 million units, with sales revenue of $3.89 billion.
Market concentration among leading brands increased as well. The top five companies — Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Xiaomi and Mova — accounted for 75% of total global robot vacuum shipments and 82% of sales revenue in the second quarter.
The nature of competition in the global market is also shifting. IDC cited the move toward localized business operations as one of the key changes in the market. Roborock is building its business base in individual markets by strengthening customer touchpoints and service capabilities. In South Korea, the company offers product trials through offline retail channels, including flagship stores at Starfield Goyang and Starfield Hanam, and is expanding its after-sales service network.
"The IDC findings confirm Roborock's leadership in the global robot vacuum market through global data," an official at Roborock Korea said. "Along with technological innovation, we will continue to introduce products and services tailored to consumer lifestyles and environments in each market to deliver a differentiated experience."
