Samsung C&T (028260) said on the 15th that its engineering and construction division has launched Wellfy, an artificial intelligence wellness solution that combines digital healthcare technology with everyday spaces such as homes and workplaces.
The name Wellfy blends "wellness" and "comfy." The service links online and offline features so users can manage their health in the various spaces where they live and work. Under the slogan "an era in which spaces manage your health," the company said it has extended the expertise in space-based user experience it built through Homeniq, its existing residential digital platform, and Bind, its office platform.
The service pairs a dedicated mobile app with physical hubs called Wellfy Stations. Samsung C&T said it refined the stations through pilot testing with startups identified via Futurescape, an open innovation program the company has run since 2023. Each station includes Wellfy Body, which measures 37 health indicators including blood pressure, stress, body composition and skin condition; Wellfy Food, a micro store where users can immediately buy personalized nutritional products; and Wellfy Mind, an immersive space for relaxation.
Wellfy Mind applies an AI model trained on counseling techniques developed by Kwon Soo-young, a professor at Yonsei University. Users can ease anxiety and stress through conversations with the AI and receive guidance on personalized meditation content.
The Wellfy mobile app systematically accumulates and manages personal health data gathered in daily life and uses it to provide precise, hyper-personalized services. It also carries a chronic disease prediction AI model built on extensive health screening data and medical expertise from Kangbuk Samsung Hospital, which the company said strengthens the service's professionalism and reliability.
Wellfy is being introduced at both residential complexes and construction sites. It debuts first at Raemian Trinity One in Seoul's Seocho district, where it will support one-stop healthcare services at community facilities for residents. Deployment has also been completed at the construction site of the NCsoft RDI Center in Pangyo, as a preemptive step in safety and health management at construction sites where the workforce is aging. The company plans to test the solution with on-site workers and accumulate data to improve the system.
Beyond the three types of Wellfy Stations now launched, Samsung C&T plans to diversify its devices and strengthen mobile-based customized analysis. It also plans to expand into office buildings, shopping malls and rest areas to build a space-based wellness platform.
Cho Hye-jung, executive vice president and head of Samsung C&T's DxP division, said, "The core competitiveness lies not in a builder simply constructing buildings, but in providing a wellness experience to the people who use those spaces." Cho added, "We will continue to strengthen open cooperation with a range of partners, including specialized medical institutions, healthcare startups and food and beverage companies, to lead an integrated wellness ecosystem combined with space."
