Samsung C&T proposed "Raemian Ynity" as the new complex name, combining "Y" for Yeouido, "Dignity" for prestige, and "Infinity" for boundless value. The design allows Han River views from every unit, and the builder plans to link Yeouinaru Station directly to the complex and create an elevated pedestrian walkway connecting to Han River Park.

The win gives Samsung C&T its second reconstruction contract in Yeouido. In November last year, the company was selected as contractor for the Daegyo Apartment reconstruction, worth 798.7 billion won. Its next target is Sibeom Apartment, considered the biggest prize in Yeouido reconstruction. The project, which will transform 1,584 existing units into 2,491 units in buildings up to 59 floors, carries total construction costs of about 2 trillion won. In the first contractor bidding held last month, Samsung C&T was the only bidder and the tender failed. If no rival emerges in the second round of bidding scheduled for December, Samsung C&T is likely to sign a private contract.
The Yeouido contest is being settled quickly among major builders. Hyundai E&C, which secured the Hanyang Apartment contract in 2024, was also named preferred bidder for Gwangjang Apartment's District 38-1 and faces a contractor selection meeting on the 19th. Daewoo E&C won the Gongjak Apartment contract in 2023, while the Eunha and Samik apartments began contractor selection on the 11th. The two complexes, both completed in 1974 with 360 units each and identical unit sizes, simultaneously completed redevelopment zone designation in June, and GS E&C and Lotte E&C are reportedly interested in a combined contract.

In the Mokdong Sinsigaji reconstruction market, another core redevelopment area in southwestern Seoul alongside Yeouido, builders are also in earnest carving out territory. DL E&C claimed Mokdong Complex 6 in June, while Mokdong Complex 10, worth 2.6135 trillion won in construction costs, named Hyundai E&C preferred bidder on the 26th of last month after the builder bid alone twice.
GS E&C and Samsung C&T are seen as likely to take Mokdong Complexes 12 and 13, respectively. For Complex 12, worth about 1.7888 trillion won, GS E&C was the only participant in the first bidding round and the second site briefing. Samsung C&T became the frontrunner for Mokdong Complex 13 — set to be the district's first Raemian complex — after bidding alone in the first contractor tender that closed on the 7th. For Mokdong Complex 8, whose first bidding closes on the 22nd, Daewoo E&C has signaled its intent to bid early, making it a strong contender.
With competitive bidding all but absent, industry attention has turned to Complexes 7 and 14, among the largest in Mokdong. Complex 7, adjacent to Mokdong Station on Subway Line 5, has seen major builders open promotion centers one after another to court owners' votes. Samsung C&T, Hyundai E&C, DL E&C and Lotte E&C are interested in Complex 7, which will be rebuilt into 4,335 units, raising interest in whether a competitive tender will materialize. For Complex 14, to be built with 5,123 units, Hyundai E&C, Daewoo E&C, DL E&C, POSCO E&C and Lotte E&C are all cited as potential bidders.
"Since most Mokdong sites have so far gone to solo bids by particular builders, the question is whether competitive bidding will materialize," a construction industry official said. "But amid a reluctance to engage in ruinous competition due to cost burdens, the places where bidding contests actually break out will be extremely limited."
