OncoSoft Raises 16 Billion Won
OncoSoft, a company specializing in radiation therapy software, has successfully raised 16 billion won. HB Investment, Devsisters Ventures, and Comes Investment participated in the investment.
Since its founding in 2019, OncoSoft has built the first AI-based full-cycle radiation therapy platform among Korean companies. Its flagship product, the AI contouring (automatic delineation of normal organs and tumors) software "OncoStudio," obtained approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in February 2022 and is now used for clinical and research purposes at some 50 hospitals and institutions in Korea. The company is steadily improving its AI performance by establishing data cooperation systems with Yonsei Cancer Center, the Mayo Clinic in the U.S., and the University of Chicago in the U.S. Last year, starting with certification from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), it obtained medical device certifications in Japan, Singapore, Brazil, and elsewhere, laying the groundwork for overseas market expansion.
