Daishin Securities is holding an event offering tickets to professional baseball team KT Wiz's home games to clients who invest in domestic stocks, funds, and bonds.
On Tuesday, Daishin Securities said it would run the investment event, which awards table seat tickets at KT Wiz Park, through the fourth of next month. The event was designed to expand contact with investors in their 20s and 30s using its professional baseball sponsorship and to promote the tax benefits of Individual Savings Accounts (ISA).
The event is open to individual clients holding a Daishin Securities account. During the event period, clients who purchase domestic stocks (including ETFs), funds, and bonds receive entry tickets based on their investment amount. Investing through an ISA account provides twice as many entry tickets as a general comprehensive account, increasing the chances of winning.
Entry tickets are awarded on a tiered basis according to investment amount. Purchases of 1 million won or more provide one ticket for a comprehensive account and two for an ISA account. For 10 million won or more, comprehensive and ISA accounts receive two and four tickets respectively; for 50 million won or more, three and six; and for investments of 100 million won or more, five tickets for a comprehensive account and 10 for an ISA account.
The prizes consist of table seat tickets (for two) to KT Wiz home games held after the July All-Star Game, along with sets of Jinmi Tongdak fried chicken and Boyoung Mandu dumplings, popular food items at the stadium. Winners are drawn each Wednesday the week before, in line with the home game schedule, with the first announcement on July 22 and the last on August 5. Duplicate winning is restricted.
"We arranged this event to broaden contact with young investors through sports marketing using professional baseball, while also promoting ISA's investment and tax benefits," said Cho Tae-won, head of the customer solutions department at Daishin Securities. "We hope clients can enjoy the pleasure of watching baseball along with their investments."
Meanwhile, Daishin Securities has served as an official sponsor of KT Wiz since 2016. This year, it extended its sponsorship contract by five years, continuing the partnership through 2030, and plans to further expand its sports marketing, including stadium branding.
