Woowa Brothers, the operator of food-delivery app Baedal Minjok (Baemin), said Friday it is launching a "Meal Mate Test" campaign with the Seoul Metropolitan Government targeting Seoul residents in their 20s to 40s.
The campaign is based on Seoul's "Loneliness and Isolation Self-Diagnosis," which lets people assess their own level of isolation by answering questions related to loneliness and social isolation. It consists of questions about habits when ordering delivery food, behavior when dining with others, and ways to soothe a tiring day, allowing participants to identify what type of meal they prefer.
The campaign is part of the "Seoul Without Loneliness" partnership that Baemin signed with the Seoul Metropolitan Government in December 2024 to ease residents' loneliness and sense of isolation.
Baemin will offer a 2,000 won pickup coupon, available for pickup orders, to test participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and will award 5,000 won pickup coupons through a random drawing to customers who share the event page. The event, which runs through the 15th of this month, is open to anyone through a banner in the app.
"We planned this campaign to take part in preventing social problems by utilizing Baemin's service features," said Kim Joong-hyun, head of sustainability management at Woowa Brothers. "Going forward, we will continue to cooperate with various organizations to add warmth to citizens' daily lives and help build a healthy society."
