Kia (000270.KS) said it will begin taking orders for "The 2027 Tasman," the model-year update of Tasman, the brand's first authentic pickup truck, and "The Kia Tasman Open Bed," starting Monday.
Kia introduced a new "Best Selection" trim for the 2027 Tasman, which comes with a range of customer-preferred features as standard.
Based on the existing "Adventure" trim, the Best Selection adds the latest convenience features as standard, including a surround-view monitor, remote smart parking assist, Digital Key 2, and a 100W (watt) C-type USB port, along with an electronic 4WD system, a differential gear lock, and terrain modes (Auto, Snow, Mud and Sand).

Kia cut the price of the 2027 Tasman's entry trim, "Dynamic," by 2.5 million won through feature optimization.
Kia genuine accessories such as side steps, a bed cover package, and a sport bar package, which were previously available starting from the Adventure trim, will be extended down to the Dynamic trim.
Prices for the 2027 Tasman are as follows: Dynamic, 35 million won; Adventure, 41.2 million won; Best Selection, 43.5 million won; Extreme, 45.05 million won; and X-Pro, 52.55 million won.

The Tasman Open Bed, newly unveiled Monday, is a specialized model featuring a cargo bed that opens on three sides and a maximum payload of 1 ton.
Equipped with a gasoline 2.5 turbo engine, it secures off-road driving capability based on ample power performance.
It is offered in a single trim and is priced at 33.99 million won.
"The 2027 Tasman is a model that can deliver the appeal of a pickup in more diverse ways by significantly expanding the application of convenience features highly preferred by customers and by broadening the range of trim choices," a Kia official said. "In particular, the Tasman Open Bed will be an optimal choice that satisfies both utility and economy for work sites on islands and in mountainous areas that frequently traverse rugged terrain, as well as for small business owners in suburban and provincial regions."
