Hanwha's construction division has once again demonstrated its win-win management performance with partner companies, earning the top grade for the second consecutive year in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's (MOLIT) mutual cooperation evaluation among construction businesses.
Hanwha's construction division said Monday that it earned an "Excellent" grade for the second straight year in the "2026 Mutual Cooperation Evaluation Among Construction Businesses" announced by MOLIT.
The mutual cooperation evaluation among construction businesses is a system conducted annually by MOLIT to promote balanced development of the construction industry through the building of close cooperative relationships between comprehensive and specialized, or large and small, construction businesses, and to encourage smooth project execution and improved construction quality. It comprehensively evaluates joint contracting performance with partner companies, subcontracting performance, partner company development, and creditworthiness.
Large construction companies that received the top grade this year total 28 firms, including Hanwha's construction division, Samsung C&T, Hyundai E&C, and GS E&C. These companies receive additional points in the pre-qualification (PQ) assessment for public bids by the Public Procurement Service and local governments, as well as bonus points in the calculation of construction capability evaluation amounts.
Hanwha's construction division has set the establishment of a fair trade culture, enhancement of partner company capabilities, and strengthened communication with partner companies as core tasks of its win-win growth policy, operating various win-win programs. This year, it has signed and is complying with fair trade agreements with 205 partner companies, and since 2007 it has worked to establish a fair trade culture by adopting the Fair Trade Commission's four practice items and reflecting them in company regulations. In the Win-Win Growth Index evaluation announced by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership, it has recorded an "Excellent" grade or higher for nine consecutive years, continuing its win-win management performance.
It also continues to provide financial and management support to help partner companies achieve stable operations. Representative examples include direct lending of win-win growth funds, indirect support through the creation of a win-win growth fund, and a receivables-backed loan system that allows loans of up to 100% of the contract amount. Along with this, it is continuously expanding its Management Doctor program, ESG consulting, and partner company education support to strengthen the foundation for win-win cooperation.
It is actively gathering the opinions of partner companies by regularizing field-centered communication channels such as meetings with outstanding partner companies and meetings by work type, and it is also strengthening ties with partner companies through cultural exchange activities such as group cheering at Hanwha Eagles games and attending the Hanwha Orchestra Festival.
"Partner companies' technical capabilities and field competitiveness are the very competitiveness of Hanwha's construction division," said Kim Woo-seok, CEO of Hanwha's construction division. "Beyond one-way support, we will build a business partnership that enhances each other's expertise and creates results together."
