
The Gongju National Museum, part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said it will operate the "2026 Baekje Cultural Heritage Week" from July 6 to 12 in the areas of Gongju City and Buyeo County in South Chungcheong Province and Iksan City in North Jeolla Province, together with eight institutions including the Korea Heritage Service, local governments such as Gongju, Buyeo and Iksan, and the Baekje World Heritage Center.
"Baekje Cultural Heritage Week" is an annual event held since 2018 to commemorate the inscription of the Baekje Historic Areas on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Educational programs include: ▲ "Baekje Cultural Heritage Nocturne (8th)," a fusion classical music concert appreciating cultural heritage at night; ▲ "Special Exhibition Commentary from Curators (7th-10th)," offering vivid, theme-based accounts of the Ungjin Baekje cultural heritage; ▲ "You Quiz: Observe and Think (7th-12th)," in which participants solve quizzes while viewing Baekje cultural heritage; and ▲ "Give Color to the Jinmyosu (10th-12th)," a hands-on activity for everyone.
As an exhibition program, "Baekje Historic Areas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Meet Through Lego" will be displayed in the corridor in front of the "South Chungcheong Province History and Culture Room" permanent exhibition hall on the second floor, opening to visitors from the 7th.
