Music technology company MPAG said on the 30th that it will hold "OST Concert for Everyone," the first offline performance tied to MyMusicFive, its AI-powered music education and sheet music trading app.
MPAG has been developing technology that converts standard sheet music into braille scores so that visually impaired musicians can access them more easily. The company will formally unveil MPAG Braille, an AI braille score conversion service built on that technology, at the concert. It will also produce and release braille scores for every piece on the setlist.
The program consists of 19 film scores, including works frequently traded and practiced on MyMusicFive, along with music from "Up," "Cinema Paradiso," "Castle in the Sky" and "E.T." The Arts Symphony Orchestra, led by conductor Ahn Du-hyun, will perform with guest soloists Kim Ji-sun, a visually impaired violinist, and Kim Min-seok, a pianist with a developmental disability.
Chung In-seo, chief executive of MPAG, said the company developed MyMusicFive and its braille score technology on the belief that everyone should have the chance to learn and enjoy music, and that the concert is deeply meaningful as a place where that idea takes shape on an actual stage. The CEO added that the company will continue to expand an environment where anyone can learn, play and enjoy music.
