South Korea's game companies are opening up bundles of items and content for the Chuseok holiday. NCSOFT is running Chuseok events across eight of its live titles, including the Aion and Lineage series, offering hanbok costumes and progression items. Players can join daily check-ins, missions and event dungeons in each game to collect holiday-themed items and rewards. Kakao Games (293490) has prepared a range of Chuseok events in its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Odin: Valhalla Rising, including check-ins, missions and item exchanges. Players can earn in-game rewards such as summon tickets, enhancement stones and gold. Pearl Abyss (263750) is holding a Chuseok event in Black Desert Mobile in which players gather "Moonlight Shards" through check-ins and content missions to claim various rewards. The company is also giving 20,000 "Breakthrough Restoration Tickets" to every player who posts a full-moon wish on the official forum.
NCSOFT Runs Chuseok Events Across Eight Titles
NCSOFT is holding a range of Chuseok events in eight live titles, including the Aion and Lineage series.
In Aion, players can take part in the "Hungry Spirits Raid the Ancestral Table" event. On the Deva server, players combine "Deva Essence" dropped by event monsters to obtain Chuseok hanbok costumes and unique-grade gear. On the Ciel and Israphel servers, a daily event tasks players with defeating "Ancestral Table" monsters in the Kaldor field.
Aion 2 will run a "Full Moon Coin Exchange Merchant" through Oct. 7. Coins earned from check-ins and event missions can be traded for goblin masks, boss kill tickets and content-use recharge tickets. Drop rates for "Stigma Shards" in some dungeons will also rise by 200%.
In Lineage II, defeating event monsters yields experience points and accessory cosmetic items. On the Awakening server, players can craft "sky lanterns" through daily missions for rewards. Lineage M is offering adena, coins and relic cards through events including "Chuseok Gourd Smashing" and "Moon Rabbit's Treasure Chest." Access times for some special dungeons will also be extended by one hour.
Lineage2M will run the "Moon Rabbit of Abundance" season pass and the "Moon Rabbit's Spring" event dungeon through Oct. 7. Players can earn crafting materials for items such as Agathion and class acquisition tickets, along with progression resources, through missions and hunting.
Lineage W is opening the "Feast of the Full Moon" event dungeon. Fragments obtained by defeating monsters and bosses can be exchanged for items including legendary transformation and magic doll challenge tickets.
Throne and Liberty is running the "Merry Chuseok, Happy Rice Cake Hunt!" event through Oct. 6. Players can collect various kinds of songpyeon rice cakes through field content and sell them at shops. In Blade & Soul NEO, event coins earned from clearing dungeons and field bosses can be exchanged through Oct. 7 for items such as "Five-Color Songpyeon" and "Moon Viewing" hanbok costumes.
Devsisters Updates Cookie Run: Kingdom and Cookie Run: Crumble for Chuseok
Devsisters (194480) is rolling out updates adding new content to the mobile RPG Cookie Run: Kingdom and the mobile idle RPG Cookie Run: Crumble ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
Cookie Run: Kingdom is receiving the "Mortal Flame, Eternal History" update, which introduces a new World Exploration episode and a new Beast-grade cookie.
The 11th episode of the World Exploration arc "Timeline of Destiny," titled "The Flame Devours an Era," follows GoldCheese Cookie, who repeatedly fails to rebuild her kingdom after the war and dives into the memories of the tyrant Burning Spice Cookie to obtain his power.
The newly added "Mortal Rajapendra Cookie" is a Beast-grade charge-type cookie seeking to bring an end to the cookie world. Its skill "Summon Fire Centipede" deals damage to nearby enemies with the power of rampage and summons a fire centipede that inflicts burns, damage over time and the Mark of Mortality on all enemies. An Epic-grade healing cookie, "Mograhmat Cookie," which uses the skill "Spread the Tale," was also added.
New combat content, the "Mortal Rajapendra Raid," is also opening. The raid, which pits players against a giant Rajapendra, will run across four seasons, with players assembling optimal parties against a boss that learns elemental attacks to earn a range of rewards.
Cookie Run: Crumble will be updated Thursday afternoon with two new cookies and additional combat content.
The TSSR-grade "Princess Bari Cookie" is a fire-attribute charge-type cookie that guides the souls of cookies to the afterlife, charging at high-attack enemies to deal area damage and applying "Soul Guidance" to itself and allied charge-type cookies to inflict damage over time nearby. Joining for the holiday are the defense-type "Hide-and-Seek Moon Rabbit Cookie," which transforms into a giant rice cake rabbit, and a new pet, "Colorful Pouch."
Combat content for deeper play is also being added. "Bustling Arena," seasonal competitive content pitting players against rivals across all servers, is opening, and "The Other Side of the Dimension," content for players who have cleared all stages, lets them strengthen stats with a dedicated progression element called "Dimensional Power" and take on bosses in stages.
Kakao Games' Odin: Valhalla Rising Holds Chuseok Events
Kakao Games' MMORPG Odin: Valhalla Rising is running special events for Chuseok.
The "Abundant Chuseok! 21-Day Check-In Event" runs through Oct. 28. Players can earn a range of in-game rewards simply by logging in each day. Depending on the number of days attended, rewards include three types of "Odin's Enhancement Stones," 90 "Divine Summon Tickets" and 66 "Radiance Summon Tickets," along with other items.
An "Abundant Chuseok! Exchange Event" runs over the same period. Defeating monsters in fields and elite dungeons drops "Chuseok Songpyeon," which can be collected and traded for summon tickets, "Ivaldi's Relic Enhancement Stones" and a "Chuseok Songpyeon Set" usable for item collection effects.
The "Abundant Chuseok! Special Mission Event" offers additional rewards. Players can complete various missions during the event period to obtain "2026 Chuseok Lucky Pouch Fragments" and combine them into a "2026 Chuseok Lucky Pouch." Using the pouch yields in-game rewards including summon tickets, enhancement stones and gold.
A special login reward has also been prepared for the holiday. Through the "Abundant Chuseok! Loskva's Surprise Push Event," running from the 24th to the 27th of this month, players who log in each day receive 11 "Radiance Summon Tickets" and 11 "Divine Summon Tickets," along with 10 million gold, a "Norn's Coin" and three types of "Ivaldi Enhancement Stone Boxes."
Smilegate's Eclipse Launches Four Chuseok Events
Smilegate is running four events offering expanded rewards in Eclipse: The Awakening, which the company bills as "a new standard for MMORPGs," for the Chuseok holiday.
The four events are the "Chuseok Full Moon Festival," "Collect Eclipse Fragments and Build!," the "Eclipse Time Event" and Chuseok holiday login rewards. The "Chuseok Full Moon Festival" runs through Oct. 7. Players hunt monsters to obtain "Full Moon Coins," which can be used at the event workshop to acquire 10-pull summon tickets for "Transcendence" and "Weapon Appearance" as well as hero-grade progression materials. The coins can also be traded at a dedicated exchange shop for items such as "Basic Material Selection Boxes," "Authority Fragments" and "Enhancement Materials." The event exchange and crafting shops will remain open through Oct. 14.
The second event, "Collect Eclipse Fragments and Build!," also runs through Oct. 7. Players use "Eclipse Fragments" obtained from hunting to grow an event-exclusive relic, the "Relic of the Solar Eclipse," and can obtain "Eclipse Crystals" depending on its growth stage. The crystals yield items including summon tickets, "Soul Stones," "Runes," gold, "Sanctuary" and equipment progression materials.
In the third event, "Eclipse Time," drop rates for "Cleon Crystals" are raised for a limited period. Eclipse Time is a system that players can activate at a time of their choosing to gain extra resources and crafting materials for eight hours. This event increases the drop rate of "Cleon Crystals," a material used to expand the Sanctuary.
Finally, daily login rewards will be given over the four days of the holiday, from the 24th to the 27th. Players who log in receive progression items such as gold, enhancement crystal selection boxes, "Certificates of Restoration," Cleon Crystals and "Fruits of Origin," with more special rewards on Chuseok day itself.
Pearl Abyss' Black Desert Mobile Runs Chuseok Event
Pearl Abyss is holding an expanded event for Black Desert Mobile adventurers for Chuseok.
During the holiday period, adventurers can obtain "Moonlight Shards" by taking part in events including check-in sheets, content missions and daily missions. Collecting the shards to grow the moon yields rewards depending on the growth stage, including the "Eye of the Void," two-item bundles of "Purified Water/Citron Tea/Clock Gear Selection Boxes" and "Ogier's Blessing."
Growing the moon also brings added benefits. Depending on the moon's growth stage, players can receive a buff that raises combat experience points by up to 15%, aiding character progression during the event period.
The company is also running the "Chuseok Special: Make a Wish to the Full Moon!" event, reflecting the holiday tradition of wishing on the full moon. Players can join by posting a wish for the full moon on the official Black Desert Mobile forum. Every participating adventurer will receive 20,000 Breakthrough Restoration Tickets.
A special Chuseok shop is also opening, with discounts on the "Citron Tea/Clock Gear Selection Box" and the "Delenas' Fortune Shop 10-Pull Ticket." At the special shop, players can use silver and cooperation points to obtain items including "Holy Water of Light" and Breakthrough Restoration Tickets.
