A 36-hole park golf course, the largest among those operated by Seoul's district governments, has opened along Anyangcheon Stream in Yeongdeungpo District.
Yeongdeungpo District said on the 2nd that the Yeongdeungpo No. 2 Park Golf Course has begun full operation.
Combined with the existing No. 1 course and the newly built No. 2 course, the complex totals 36 holes, making it the largest park golf facility run by a district government in Seoul.
The No. 2 course was built on a 20,797-square-meter site along the Anyangcheon Stream. It sits alongside the 18,236-square-meter No. 1 course, bringing the combined area of the two courses to 39,033 square meters.
The district completed construction of the No. 2 course in June and spent about two months managing turf growth and refining facilities. It expanded restrooms and upgraded electrical and plumbing systems for visitors' convenience.
Bookings for both courses can be made through the integrated park golf reservation website of the Yeongdeungpo District Facilities Management Corporation. Yeongdeungpo residents can reserve slots for the following month from the 20th to the 24th of each month. Residents of other areas can apply for remaining time slots from the 25th through the end of the month.
"We will build a park golf course second to none, where residents can enjoy exercising amid the nature of the Anyangcheon Stream," Yeongdeungpo District Mayor Cho Yoo-jin said.
